Planning a company holiday party usually means juggling three vendors before you've even locked a date. One for the room, one for the food, one for a microphone that hopefully works when your CEO stands up to speak. We put all of that under one roof. At The Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn, a Hudson Valley holiday party venue, the catering and the audio setup both come with the barn.
That shifts the conversation from logistics to the good part. What's on the menu, who's giving the toast, and whether you want long communal tables or a layout built for mingling.
A rustic wedding in the Hudson Valley can include farm tables, cushioned wood chairs, linens, and tableware without separate rentals. The Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn provides 10 farm tables, 14 round tables, and seating for up to 220 guests. Couples can customize floor plans and choose buffet, family style, or plated dining.
Catering, AV, and the Room in One Booking
A holiday party has two jobs. Feed people well, and let a few people be heard. We handle both in house, which means fewer contracts for you and fewer surprises the week of the party.
Food Made Here
All food and beverage for barn events is prepared in house by The Preston Barn in a fully equipped commercial kitchen with a grill area, cold prep area, walk in cooler, and freezer. It's Board of Health approved, so hot food arrives hot and your timeline isn't at the mercy of a delivery window.
Our party package starts with your choice of three stationary hors d’oeuvres or a cheese board, then two entrée or station selections. Every entrée comes with penne alla vodka, fingerling potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and freshly baked cookies.
Menus We Adjust for Your Team
Any group of coworkers has a range of eaters in it. We can customize a menu to meet your dietary needs and wants, so the vegetarians, the gluten free folks, and the person who only eats chicken all leave full.
Service style is your call too. Buffet keeps people moving and mingling, which suits a big office crowd. Family style or plated feels more like a seated dinner if you're handing out awards. Our chef builds the menu with local and fresh ingredients either way.
AV That's Already Installed
The barn has a full audio system for music and microphones, so there's nothing to rent for your remarks or your playlist. We also have TV screens with a live feed device, Wi Fi, and easels, whiteboards, and office supplies if your party has a business half to it.
That matters more than people expect. A year in review slideshow, a video from a remote office, a quick thank you from a founder who hates shouting over a crowd- all of it runs on equipment that lives here.
Easy to Reach From the City and Suburbs
We're about 80 miles north of New York City and less than five miles from Connecticut's western border. Teams that don't want anyone driving after a party can take Metro North, since we're five minutes from either the Harlem Valley/Wingdale station or the Dover Plains station. Our parking lot handles buses and large groups traveling together, and on site lodging is available if you'd rather make it an overnight.
Conclusion
December fills up early, so the sooner we talk, the more dates you'll have to choose from. Come walk the barn, see the sound and screen setup, and talk through what our chef is putting together this season. We'll sketch a floor plan around your headcount and build a menu your team still mentions in January.
