Celebrate Your Big Day at The Preston Barn: A Venue That’s All About Flexibility

When couples talk to us after their wedding weekend, they often say the same thing. They did not realize how much flexibility they would actually have until they experienced it.

At The Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn, flexibility is not a selling phrase. It shows up in how the space is arranged, how the weekend flows, and how many decisions you do not have to force too early. We focus on giving you room to plan in a way that feels comfortable and realistic.

The Preston Barn supports flexible wedding planning by adjusting layouts to guest count, offering full weekend access, and providing one on site coordinator throughout the process. Catering, bar service, furnishings, and ceremony support are included, allowing couples to adapt timelines, seating, and flow without rushing or locking decisions too early.

Celebrate Your Big Day at The Preston Barn

A Space That Adjusts to Your Guest Count

The Preston Barn comfortably hosts weddings of up to 220 guests, and the layout is planned around your actual number, not a preset diagram. Ten rustic farm tables are included with your booking. If your guest list grows, round tables are added to increase seating while keeping the farm tables part of the room.

This lets you maintain the style you want without compromising on comfort. Guests can move easily from ceremony seating to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing without the room feeling crowded.

Layouts Built Around How the Day Flows

The barn’s open interior, vaulted ceilings, sliding barn doors, and wood floors make it easy to shift the room throughout the day. Ceremony seating, cocktail mingling, dinner service, and dancing all happen without needing to move guests off the property.

Cocktail hour often takes place on the stone patio. The lawn and tented areas are also part of the grounds and are used as needed, giving you options if plans shift during the weekend.

Time Built In Before and After the Wedding Day

Your booking includes exclusive use of the barn and grounds for the entire weekend. You have access the day before the wedding for setup and rehearsal, and the day after for cleanup. This removes the pressure of fitting everything into a short window.

Rehearsals are guided the evening before, so everyone understands where to be and when. After the celebration, you remove personal decor, and our team handles the remaining cleaning.

One Coordinator From Start to Finish

From your first site visit through the end of your wedding day, you work with the same on site coordinator. That continuity matters. It means changes are handled smoothly and details do not get lost between handoffs.

Your coordinator helps with layouts, timing, and on site flow so the day stays organized without feeling rigid.

Food and Drink That Match Your Style

All food and beverages for barn events are provided in house by Old Drovers Inn. Wedding menus can be served buffet style, family style, or plated. This gives you flexibility in how formal or relaxed a dinner feels.

Reception packages include a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres, dinner service, beverages, and a coffee station. Bar service includes a champagne toast or champagne wall greeting, two signature drinks, and a five hour open bar with soft drinks and water included.

Because catering and bar service are handled on site, timing stays consistent from one part of the evening to the next.

What’s Included So You’re Not Chasing Rentals

Tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, and glassware are included for up to 220 guests. Seating layouts are coordinated by our team, and you receive a list of trusted wedding professionals to support your planning.

The barn includes interior guest restrooms, a full sound system for music and microphones, and heating and air conditioning year round. Ceremony support includes chairs, an arbor, and a wireless PA system.

Keeping Your Wedding Weekend Close Together

On site lodging includes Old Drovers Inn, a six room historic inn often used for getting ready and family photos, and the Carriage House across the street. Additional nearby properties are available for wedding weekends, including Preston House, the Farm House at Ten Mile River Preserve, and the Mountain Cabin.

Having lodging options within minutes of the barn helps the weekend feel connected and easy for guests.

Why This Level of Flexibility Matters

Guest counts change, and timelines shift. The weather does what it wants. When the space, staff, and schedule are already in place to accommodate adjustments, those changes do not feel overwhelming.

That is what flexibility means here. Not vague promises, but practical room to make decisions that fit you.

Let’s Walk Through It Together

Seeing the barn in person is often when couples understand how much freedom they actually have. If you are looking for a wedding venue that can move with your plans instead of locking you into a script, we would love to show you around.
